Been having some issues with 2 aironet 1200's.. Now I am thinking perhaps we are just asking too much out of these devices. We have 2 yagi antenna's mounted outside on the roof of both buildings.. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts at to what type of range we should be getting.... The buildings are in an industrial area but the antennas have line of site.

lot of factors here - distance between access point and antennas, type of cable used ( low loss ?) , power gain of yagi antenna, installation techniques ( ie. proper sealing of outside cable joints, etc, etc
Fresnel volume? See . There's a fancy spreadsheet you can download from there which might help you work out what's possible.
