vpn to loopback

hello

i am attempting to terminate a vpn to a loopback adapter on a 1720 from a

2600 series. having never terminated to a loopback before im not sure how to route traffic through the interface. What occurs presently is this: traffic from nodes beghind the 2600 are caught in the ip access list and the tunnel establishes itself with out a problem. good so far. replies to that traffic from nodes behind the 1720 do not pass through the tunnel and hence i get on the 2600

%CRYPTO-4-RECVD_PKT_NOT_IPSEC: Rec'd packet not an IPSEC packet.

(ip) dest_addr= 2600ipaddress, src_addr= 1720address, prot= 6

Not being an expert, im guess that this means the traffic has not be forced through the loopback to be encrypted. Also note that this means traffic initiated from nodes behind the 1720 to nodes behind the 2600 never establishes a tunnel! hence at the moment i can only get the tunnel up and "working" (though not properly) from one direction.

any broad suggestions appreciated (can give running configs if required).

cheers moth
