static default route, different metric problem

Hi all

On redundancy case , can not running any IGP,

RT1-------------FW1------------ISP X RT2-------------FW2------------ISP

On RT1 RT2 we can not running any IGP so we can only using 2 default route , by different metric;

the problem is when FW -- ISP line down the default route can not change because router don't think line's down.

any solutions?

Your routers are supposed to be between your firewalls and your service provider for redundancy then you can user HSRP and achieve what you need.
