router

hi! ive just got a new laptop but i cant remember the password/key for the wireless router. is there anyway to reset it? its a belkin

I am sure if you get the make and model of the router, go to the Belkin web site, download the manual, read it - you will find your answer.

You can try going to Belkin web site - search thru FAQs. Worst case try calling Belkin tech support.

There should be a reset switch hidden on the back. You need a paperclip or pen to reset it. Check their website for the exact location or post back a model number and we can tell you where it is.

Be careful Steve, If the OP doesn't know to do this in the first place, that means he doesn't have the manual and won't have a clue how to set up the router from scratch.

If you want to hold his hand through the set up, have at it.
