It came up again today, reminding me to change the header of the Telecom Digest Online Edition so that "27" became "28" - "28 Years of the Digest." ( The online edition is at

I haven't been here that long: Pat Townson asked me to help out while he recovered from a stroke back in 2007, and he never recovered. There were others before Pat, but he was the only man I ever associated with the Digest, although all of my predecessors contributed in their own way.
Well, let's all raise a relay to The Telecom Digest, and to all the people who made it possible.
I hope I've made it better. Time will tell.
