HDD Low virus

Beware of the new rogue spyware known as HDD LOW attack!!!! HDD Low virus is a fake Hard disk drive optimization software. HDD Low virus uses the tricks to trap users that are used by the fake Scanner virus, Smart Hdd Tools or HdDoctor virus. All these hard drive optimization programs are fake and belong to rogue spyware familly that get into your computer via downloader trojans or other malicious worms. HDD Low virus presents itself to be a powerful Hard drive optimization program although it is a virus. It will display fake hard drive error reports onto infected computer. It displays fake critical error popups that may state your computer hard drive is missing or it has no free disk space. Here is a sample fake error alert displayed by HDD Low virus =93A hard drive error occurred while starting the application.=94 It may also display a fake message about system restore like this one =93The system has been restored after a critical error. Data integrity and hard drive integrity verification required.=94 Do not trust this message, your system had no error and it was not restored, its just a fake message. HDD Low`s fake critical error may also state that =93Windows was unable to save all the data for the file [random name]. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware.=94

Removal tools (or instructions for manual removal) are no solution to an infection, particularly not with malware that may download more malware or may give an attacker remote access. One can never be sure what else was modified on the system and thus can never be certain that the malware was removed entirely.
