Any other tweaks?

I have a '2 wire' 1800HG; firmware 3.7.1


I moved the modem to about 1 foot from the incoming twisted pair; and ran cat5e from the modem to my computer. This bought me a bit of speed.



My current statistics are:


2463 kbps (down)
286 kbps (up)

Anything else I can do to make things even faster?


I realize 3Mbit is tops; but..... hey.....

Typically the best you can do with PPPoE is about 85% of sync speed. But it may depend whether you are using a speed test at your ISP or elsewhere, or whether anything else on your local network is using the internet for anything at the time.
