I gather that. I just never bought any electronic device that would use wall warts with voltages all over the map. Most of the time, the wall wart provides a very poorly controlled voltage, and then you linearly regulate it in the box. Dlink uses very compact switchers for the wall wart, then specifices a fixed voltage and current at the input.
