I've been tempted to set up faxing under Asterisk (especially because I have several commercial fax accounts now) but it always seems like more hassle than it's worth. Being included in Debian should make it a lot easier to install and maintain.
I'm still concerned about incompatibilities but I'm hoping this will be good enough for most of my needs.
