Without affecting other facilities in the distribution area (DA), AT&T plans to retire copper facilities associated with a certain downtown city block located at several addresses. The existing structure on the block is slated to be demolished and replaced with a new building, and there are no current customers or working circuits at the location. AT&T plans to construct Gigabit Passive Optical Network/Fiber-to-the-Premises (GPON/FTTP) facilities in preparation for the future development.
