Verizon reports network traffic returning to normal levels [telecom]

Verizon said its network has returned to normal traffic levels, as seen before the Covid-19 crisis. Over 776 million calls were made and

5.87 billion texts sent on 18 May, showing a significant decline from peak pandemic volumes, the US operator said.

The company said it expects to feel the impact of the pandemic for some time yet, but "the biggest changes in how, when and where people use the networks are behind us". Network monitoring will continue 24-7 to ensure optimum customer experience.
