Small ISPs make case for Title II exemption [telecom]

By Brian Santo, CED magazine, 02/20/2015

The American Cable Association met again with the FCC earlier this week to present its case that small ISPs should be exempted from Title II reclassification.

The organization said its members are pledged to uphold the network neutrality principles (no blocking, no throttling, no paid prioritization) the FCC wants Title II authority to enforce.

Representatives of the ACA, including Ross Lieberman, SVP government affairs, along with ACA legal counsel, met with members of the FCC's Wireline Competition Bureau, to reiterate its argument that Title II would impose "unwarranted and onerous burdens" on small service providers.
