Rural Broadband Breakfast Roundtable examines web access
PRINCE GEORGE - When Angela McPhaul and her husband moved to Sussex County 18 months ago, they realized how difficult it can be for rural Virginians to access reliable internet.
"We each own our own business, we both work out of our home," she shared during the Rural Broadband Roundtable event at the Prince George Central Wellness Center on Thursday. "As much as we are excited to be back in Virginia, to be around our family, to go back to Virginia Tech football games, this broadband issue for us is a daily source of frustration. We had a Verizon DSL line, but we actually cancelled it because what we do is we each tether to our phones."
