Since the Internet, by its very nature, concentrates power at the
> endpoints, the former monopolists are floating trial balloons to see
> if the public will stand for them finding a new way to gouge the > consumer.
However, the "power at the endpoints" isn't very much if you can't get anyone to carry your traffic to the rest of the net. If others can't connect to your content, your "endpoint" has all the "power" of an expensive typewriter.
