Obviously the loud ones heard in an airport waiting area don't mind. Same behaviour during the periods before the airplane pushes back or after it lands. So there will be a new headache for air travel.
*****Apparently one technology is to have a 'pico cell' on-board. The pico cell can be set by the air crew to enable text, voice or whatever. The theory is that the passenger mobile phones will connect to the pico cell rather than boosting power to reach a ground cell.
Must be a risk that, one way or another, there is a ground connection, increasing the potential for on-board RFI and incidentally avoiding what ever the airlines' call charges may be.
