Long before 2024, large-scale corporate agriculture will drive the price of marijuana down to roughly the price of a pack of cigarettes today.
Other than the legal prohibition, there really is no reason for pot to cost very much.
That prohibition is going away.
Legalization votes will be on the ballot everywhere possible in order to drive young people to the polls in 2016.
Unless there is severe inflation/devaluing of the USD, five hundred dollars will buy a LOT of marijuana in ten years - and you won't have to go to Colorado to get it.
But yeah, I get your point. As Mr. Ellison famously stated: "You have no privacy anyway - get over it!"
