FSC e-mail system used to send nationwide threats

FRAMINGHAM - The FBI has been alerted to an investigation that is attempting to determine who hacked into the Framingham State College e-mail system to send threatening messages across the country.
The e-mails' content was "essentially threatening someone in exchange for money," said Patrick Laughran, the college's chief information technology officer.
The school contacted the FBI, and officials have kept files related to the threats that could help with the investigation.
