Pay-TV and broadband Internet providers have begun catering to the growing population of cord cutters and cord shavers.
Verizon has begun offering a $59.99 FiOS Internet package with 50 Megabits per second broadband speeds, with local TV channels, HBO, Showtime and a free year of Netflix.
