AT&T (NYSE: T) is a more than $200 billion telecommunications company, making it one of the largest companies worldwide. The company, however, has seen its returns languish, as investors fret over its more than $150 billion debt load. The company has made a number of efforts to alleviate it, culminating in its recent announcement of its plan to sell a large minority stake in DirecTV at a value of ~$15 billion.
