Telefónica gives up Latin America, but keeps Brazi
Telefónica decided to sell its business in Latin America and keep only Brazil.The units of Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Peru and Ecuador will be sold.Officially, the operator speaks of an 'operational separation' of Spanish-speaking businesses in the region.Telefonica will focus on markets in Spain, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Germany, Chief Executive Jose Maria Alvarez-Pallete said on Wednesday.
