Wireless transit information kiosks [telecom\ [telecom]

The New York MTA has announced a trial of real-time passenger information display screen kiosks that require no power or data wiring. This can save substantial money in installation, especially in places where running conduits is difficult.

Power is provided by solar cells, and real-time information is by wireless.
