Galesburg-area phone issues could be fixed by tonight [telecom]

GALESBURG, IL - Public safety officials were hopeful Galesburg and Knox County could have landline telephone issues resolved by Wednesday night. [11/14]

Galesburg/Knox County 911 Coordinator Amanda Jennings said a fiber-optic cable cut near Litchfield caused the temporary loss of 911 service in the Galesburg area and continuing landline issues as of about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.
