Histopry 1960 railroad wayside telephone system [telecom]

Waystation phones on railroads are located at considerable distances. It was not possible to provide fully automatic telephone service to them. In 1960, the Automatic Electric Co. developed a system to reach remote stations without an intermediate operator.
