Verizon records more calls and texts on Mother's Day than before covid-19 [telecom]
Verizon said the number of calls made this Mother's Day increased by more than 13 percent over a typical pre-covid Sunday and almost 10 than last year. Customers talked for over 1.75 billion minutes on 10 May, up by almost 11 percent over the previous Sunday, and sent about
6 billion text messages were sent, up by more than 25 percent week-on-week. Finally, collaboration tool usage lifted by over 2.6 percent week-on-week.
