Texas: 'Sim Jacking' scam affecting Verizon customers [telecom]

DENISON, Tex. (KXII) It's called 'Sim Jacking' or 'Sim Swapping' and it's another way thieves are trying to steal your information.

It looks like you're receiving a call from your phone's carrier, except once you answer, you may not be able to open your phone again - meaning it could shut off completely.
