UPDATED: CenturyLink outage takes down remote schooling, other providers [telecom]

CenturyLink has located and is working on a damaged fiber cable that took down remote learning for some local students, as well as impacted providers like Mediacom.

Tideland Electric Cooperative reported the outage was the result of a fiber cut, and that their phone lines were out this morning.
