Verizon phone service restored in Santa Monica [telecom]

About 87,000 Verizon phone lines in Santa Monica have been returned to service after water damaged a call routing center, company spokesman Les Kumagai said this morning.

Service was restored at 9:55 p.m. on Thursday, Kumagai said.
