N.J. officials say Verizon is treating them like 'country bumpkins' [telecom]

Officials are outraged by a letter that Verizon New Jersey recently sent to the state blasting a petition filed by a group of South Jersey towns last year alleging the telecom company has neglected to maintain their copper landline infrastructure and adequately address service-quality issues.
"Verizon's response is insulting and dismissive," said Hopewell Township Committeeman Greg Facemyer in a statement. "They continue to treat South Jersey like a bunch of country bumpkins."
