Having just been quoted an obscene price for renewal of a managed firewall contract, I am now trying to get my head around the access rules and looking for a competitive remote management service. Hope somebody can help here.
The current rules allow: HTTP (out via a range of fixed IP addresses and inbound any source), SMTP, retrieval POP3 and LAN to everything. They Deny: any source to LAN. Do I need a rule to specifically allow outbound ftp (assuming passive)?
