I have the following full time position in Philadelphia, PA for a Senior Cisco Network Engineer:

Position is based in Philadelphia We are currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer to share responsibilities for the technical support of our Local Area Network

(LAN) infrastructure, Wide Area Network (WAN), and Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) infrastructure. This includes Cisco Routers, Cisco Switches, Cisco Content Switches, Cisco ONS Platforms, Cisco PIX/FWSM, and Network Analyzers. Support will include design, ordering, installation, customization, problem analysis, and resolution. The senior role will entail the development of system specifications, technical designs, implementation plans, and coordination of complex installation projects with the network engineering staff, clients, development staff, and vendors.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

5-7 years experience with Cisco Router Platforms (MSFC2/3, 7200's, 2600's), Cisco Switch Platforms (6500, 4500, 3500's, 2900's), Routing and Switching configurations, Cisco Content Services Modules, Cisco PIX/FWSM Firewalls, implementation and tuning

5-7 years experience with large-scale system networks: design, routing, switching, and PIX firewall technologies Thorough understanding of Optical, DWDM and Sonet technology Thorough understanding of TCP/IP addressing, Spanning Tree, Trunking, IPSec, SNA, and SNMP Ability to troubleshoot complex application and network issues with a Network Analyzer Thorough understanding of Microsoft Visio for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Experience with IP based protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, PPP, GRE, IPSec, and HDLC) Thorough understanding of Frame Relay and ATM Wide Area Networking (VoIP, QOS/COS, CBWFG, and CAR) Ability to work with members of the client community and members of external business entities (other Plans, State Agencies, subsidiaries, business partners, trading partners, brokers, etc.) Ability to work independently and as a member of a team environment Ability to quickly absorb new technology and apply to any given project

Ability to quickly recommend changes to the Network where/when appropriate Ability to give technical guidance to members of the Network Systems Team
