Dieing Cable Modem?
For the past couple of months I've had some serious trouble with my
cable modem. The modem is a Toshiba PCX1100U model and is about 4-5
years old. What's been happening is seemingly random connection
drops. It sometimes happens every 15 minutes, sometimes the
connection will remain stable for hours. I've had my ISP, Cox Cable,
come out twice now, they have been unable to verify what the problem
is.
I personally believe the cable modem has just about had it. I have
heard this possibility from a Cox Tech support representative as
well. Does this sound like a viable reason for these random
connection drops?
