Zyxel PPPoA Bridging to Dreytek 2910

Hi all,

Running a few tests with some routers to determine which work best etc. However having an issue with the Zyxel 660.

Problem is as follows:

ADSL connection established and works fine in routing mode until switched to "Bridge" in PPPoA. Then ADSL drops and does not re- establish until "Routing" is again selected.

On the other side of the Zyxel we have a Dreytek 2910 Dual Wan. The setup seems to work ok when a Netgear ADSL modem is configured for PPPoA bridging and the dreytek picks up the WAN IP through it so It is nothing to do with the Dreytek which is simply setup as a DHCP client on the WAN side.

Have tried many settings and it seems to not make any difference.

Does anyone have any experience with a similar setup using these Zyxels as essentialy ASDL modems. Obviously the aim is to use the Dreytek to its full capacity for fault tollerance with two lines.

Simply NATing it is not an option as double Nating obviously always creates problems etc.

Any thoughts would be interesting and so would other config ideas?

cheers y
