"Verizon-compatible" DSL Modems list

Hi, . I don't know much about DSL modems but vendors are making hard for people to know "what is in the box", like with NICs once you know the chipset they are based on you can pretty much tell what would be compatible. . I am trying to get DSL services from an ISP that works in the Verizon area, so I guess Verizon modems should also work for them . Verizon doesn't have a list of compatible DSL modems and the ISP I am trying to get the service from just tells you "We sell XYZ modems" (buy it from us ...) . Where can you get a list of compatible DSL modems? . Thanks Albretch

As far as I know, verizon isn't doing anything unusual, so most readily available modems should work.

Verizon normally uses Westell 6100 and Westell 327w, perhaps others.

The modems used by SBC (speedstream 5100b, speedstream 4100, 2Wire) will likely also work on verizon.
