Router Timed port access?

I have a Linksys BEFSR router. Is there an application that will selectily block ports or MAC address over defined time windows?

This is to help control WWW access to kids PC after hours vs manually pulling the plug.

any thoughts?

24h timeswitch inside a locked box, leading to monitor plug. Secure monitor plug with suitable tamper-evident mechanism. Unless you want them gaming into the small hours.

I don't know about the Linksys, but my Siemens router has config screens that I can selectively block ports at specific times. Check your manual or log into the router and poke around.

They can still use handhelds like GBA & DS. Why do you think they have backlit screens???

Discipline is teaching responsibility via rules. One key is deterrence-level punishments. Locks just teach irresponsibility and "getting away with it".
