D-Link configuring problem not working with DSL modem

Greetings

I am trying to configure a D-Link 624 on a windows XP Pro machine over a netware 3.12 network using Tiger Stack 3314T Hub. My DSL has a bridged port. I followed the instructions to set up the router as a Dynamic IP address, but my DSL modem is not working . It only works when I connect directly to my PC. ANyone know how I can solve this problem? The D-Link router does not recognize my DSL modem.

Cheers

Just some questions I ask myself so I don't run in circles. Maybe this will help you...

-Correct Cabling? I suggest forget that hub until you have everything else working....

** *Did you force "forget" the MAC address of your computer in your modem (hard reset) so it will allow a different MAC address (your router) to connect to it? (read the docs on your DSL modem about the MAC access issue re: changing computers, etc... )

-Does the modem sync light show joy? Ethernet light? Traffics?

-DSL modem actually bridged?

-Does your DSL provider use PPoE? If so you have to set it up correctly in the router w/ username/pw?

-If not PPoE, did you read the docs for that?

-Can you access the router via browser?

-Can you ping a site from the router?

-Can you ping a site from cmd line?

-Did you reset everything and try again?

Maybe one of these will click for you.... Ed

You forgot to mention what brand/model DSL modem, what ISP, and what the LEDs on it are doing?

Since most ISPs use PPPoE for adsl, it is ambiguous when you say you configured it for dynamic IP (PPPoE, DHCP or PPTP could be dynamic). Often what is called "Dynamic IP" for WAN config actually refers to DHCP (unrelated to PPPoE).

If your 624 has logs (accessed from its web config) what specifically do they say?
