Which is best CPU for residential gateway?

Please log in for more thread options We are looking into AMCC, AMD and PowerPC, which is best CPU for residentail Gateway. Uplink is VDSL, downlink side LAN ports + wireless + some analog interface. If there is any very good CPU besides AMCC, AMD and Power Processors?. Thanks. GS | ||||||||||||||||

Please log in for more thread options These are all rather compute-heavy multiple-issue CPUs. I don't think you need anything that powerful. Memory & I/O bandwidth is more important. AFAIK, most SoHo routers use ARM CPUs. -- Robert | ||||||||||||||||
