Please log in for more thread options I have ceBridge cable modem right now, but the service is only up about 70-80% of the time, and when it is up it is not reliable. The lag is a killer at night. From my firewall logs, there appears to be a lot of worms on my neighbors computers as they are constantly trying to connect to me on the standard worm ports (80/139/445/1045/etc.) I placed an order for SBC DSL 10 days ago. It is scheduled for self install today. I have not received anything from SBC. No modem, filters, nothing. The status of my order hasn't changed since the time I placed the order online. Any advice? Thanks; Edwin

You'd think. But it's an automated system (1-877-SBC-DSL5) and eventually they state "Do to call volume, we cannot take your call.... call back later" and hang up. The goverment really needs to break up these monopolies. Cable service sucks, and so does local telco service.
