wlan adapter is disabled by hardware switch

Hello,

i am trying to get a wlan adapter working but actually don't know how to enable wlan hardware switch.

I checked the bios settings and all seems fine. So i decided to post in this group. I am using a Linux operating system on Dell laptop.

Can anyone give me advice it would be really appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Some laptops have an actual physical switch, typically a small slide switch, on the side of the laptop. On my Dell, it's on the right side. That's your WLAN hardware switch.

On my Latitude D630 it's on the left side.

One of the nice things about Dell is that they have manuals for each system available for download, including user & disassembly/upgrade manuals.
