wireless router not seeing other networks

Do I have to have a wireless modem to access other wireless routers. I was hoping my wireless router could access them but so far have been unsuccessful.

Thanks for letting me know, Craig

Can you be a little more specific?

What router do you have? Some routers have a "client mode" where they can be used as a wireless bridge to connect to a wireless network, and then you can only connect to it with a wired (ethernet) connection.

Giving more details here, including models of your hardware and what you want to do will help others answer your question more quickly and easily.

The router I have is a linksys 54g wireless. I didn't know some of them have a client mode, do you know if this model has it.

Thanks, Craig
