I need to setup a wireless print server at a location that currently
doesn't have an Internet connection but may in the future. Rather than
buying two boxes (a stand-alone WiFi print server for now & a Wifi
Router later when the Internet is available) will a Router with a
built-in print server work?
Any particular models/manufactuers, or just the usual suspects? Will I
need to disable any of the router functions such as DCHP or anything to
make this setup fly?
Thanks in advance !!!!
Re: WiFi Router w/Print Server without Internet connection?
Note that the SMC router/USB print server is on sale for $55 after
rebate, see "http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product=3955203 "
This is one of the few routers that can simultaneously be connected with
WEP and WPA security, which can be a useful feature in some circumstances.
