Sharing Sprint mobile broadband using ICS and wireless router help?!

I have been trying to set up a wireless network using a Sprint mobile broadband card in my PC using a PCI PCMCIA adapter to a linksys BEWF11S4 wireless router to my tablet pc. I tried setting up the router as a hub instead of a router as per linksys instructions, but cannot get it to work. Ive been working on this for days and have finally pulled out my last hair. It seems that using the router as a hub should work, but i just cant get it to. Please help!

The method mentioned above is as follows:

  1. hook router to ethernet port of the PC with mobile broadband card
  2. share my mobile broadband connection in windows(ICS)
  3. change router ip to 192.164.0.254 or similar
  4. disable DHCP
  5. it works?

do i need a gateway, dns server addreses, static IPs on tablet, etc? I cant figure out what im doing wrong.
