rfmon Supported WiFi Cards

Hi all!

I am in search of an rfmon-supported WiFi card/dongle for my laptop and was wondering if anyone had any decent suggestions as to what may be good ones to use/buy?

Any particular operating system? Any particular program that you're trying to run?

Any hint as to the maker and model of the laptop? An amazing number of laptops have built in wireless cards, some of which support monitor or promiscuous mode (under Linux).

Note that it's not the product that's "supported" but the chipset on the wireless card or dongle.

To bludgeon the Windoze WLAN driver into running in promiscuous or monitor modes, a 3rd party driver and proprietary USB wireless dongle is sometimes required:
