Is there any chance at all that either of these magical connectionless external 3G antenna adaptors will significantly improve the signal?

Which might be best for a vodafone K3805-Z which is apparently a ZTE device, however I can't determine the ZTE model number?
I am highly sceptical but simultaneously desperate:)
The alternative seems to be to get a Sierra Wireless
3G USB dongle and a proper antenna but that will come to =A3150 which is pretty much out of the question.Thanks.
