Problem connecting to Netgear wireless with XP

I have a Netgear wireless router (WGR614 v7) that works for a number of computers in the house, but my laptop (operating off Windows XP, and using Windows as the network manager) can't connect to the wireless network. I enter my WEP password, then a box appears that asks me to wait and says: "Waiting for network..." This box stays onscreen for about a minute and a half, then disappears, but no connection is established. I already have Serivce Pack 2 downloaded... any ideas what else I might do to connect?

  1. Don't use WEP! It's essentially useless.
  2. If you must use WEP (deity of choice help you!), then enter all keys in >> hex
