non WRT54(g) open firmware?

Hi, I am considering the purchase of a wireless router. Open source firmware would be a very big plus. However... So far I was able to determine that the Linksys WRT54 and WRT54g have several flavors of free open source firmware. But are there other routers that have this? Where can I find a comparison or at least a list of such routers?

I searched the forum and the rest of the internet. Nowhere did I find a chart or table comparing open source firmwares. Not even the ones available for the WRT54 family.

I really hope that it is only my fault for not looking hard enough or in the right places.

How am I to chose the right router and the right firmware for me?

Yesterday I read that open-source is available for the Broadcom chip based routers, including Linksys and I am sure others (such as Belkin).

Hope that helps some.
