Newbie Question

ok...i understand...maybe im not good in electronics but i want to learn

it...because i didnt work with something wireless...i found some

antenna building sites and i know that i can build them...anyway..i

just want to learn what kind of antenna i have to build..i will try to

build...or i will buy it..i need some helpfull information...maybe im

very new user in this forum..but im reading the questions and im trying

to be helpfull...like some of the users did.i dont understand why no

one is writing something helpfull?? is it illegal or something?? im

living in North Cyprus and everything is illegal here..everyone is just

tellin me that i cant...ok..im not going to do anyting...thanks for

everyone who write something

Most people who build their own antennas usually start out with something like the cantenna you mentioned. If you'll search on Google for cantenna or wifi cantenna, you'll get lots of information there.

Nice page. About the mentioned up/down speeds, in my area Verizon caps the upload at 128Kb, 1.5Mb down. The total bandwidth is what costs money, most people don't really notice it if their upload is slower than their downloads. Much more data is downloaded by most people than uploaded.
