Need advice on sharing a network connection.

I have a PC that is connected to a network which gives access to the internet. I wish to share this connection from the PC.

I can't connect anything else to the network apart from the PC itself.

Is it possible to share out the internet connection having the PC that is connected acting as a hub or something?

Ideally, I want to go wireless if possible.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Yeah, you can get yourself a wire/wireless NAT router and be done with it.

yes, you can install another network adapter in your computer, and bridge it to the one your currently using. then just plug another computer (via crossover cable) into the new adapter, and voila...internet to both

Get a wireless ADSL router and a USB wireless adapter for each PC that connects to the internet.

ADSL router - £72 (incl VAT)

Following the instructions and you should be up and running in an hour.

Unless you have 3foot solid stone walls and a 300foot long house you should be fine for signal strength.

good luck

Hmmm Shipiping from the UK will be a bit pricy for you US bods... ;o) and you will have to change the plug on the router...

You can always do as the Irish do and use 2 tin cans and a piece of string lol
