Monitoring radio signal from notebook (and from Linksys)

Hi,

Does it exist (windows) software which continously monitors and displays signal strength of access points and other wireless devices in real time. Airsnort does this to an extent but it does not remove devices no longer 'heard'.

Also does it exist software which does the same thing from a Linksys router WRT54* (i.e. monitors and displays signal strength of devices within the range of the router.

Thanks a lot for hints on this issue

Just to explain if the subject was confusing:

I need software to monitor and display WiFi radio signal *strength* in real time..

Thanks a lot if someone has some suggestions

Take a look at Net Stumbler, it will show relative signal strength.

It has the same problem of not quickly purging stations that have disappeared.

Still a cheap peek at what's around. No substitute for professional equipment, but on the cheap...
