LAN ip on a DI-542

I own a Dlink DI-542 wireless router, and I really need to change the ip range for LAN conections. By default, that range must be 192.168.0.0 with a 255.255.255.0 netmask. I need to change that range to a B class ip (i.e. 172.16.1.0) but I can't. Do I need to upgrade my firmeware or something? Does anybody knows if I can access to that router via telnet, o something?

Thanks.

DI-524? Which Rev?

Try changing the router LAN address first. See

Just out of curiosity, why do you need to?

What do you mean by can't.

Use the Web interface.

Rev B2.

I already saw that page, and that's where I can change the router ip address, but I need to change the ip range for the dhcp server.

That's what I can't, chage the ip range for the dhcp server...

Thanks anyway :-)

did you change the ip address of the router first and then the ip range for LAN connections (DHCP)? I have changed the ip address with 2 SMC wireless routers and also with my DI-524.

sorry if this has already been answered! later, dave (>> On 16 Jun 2006 23:32:48 -0700, "boris" wrote in
