I have a dumbass question about access points...

I run a windows NT server 4.0 network hard wired to three client computers running windows 98 which all have internet access through wireless PCI cards and router. Can I just buy and setup a wireless access point and get rid of all the hard wires?

Keep the wires for a faster, more reliable network.

I assume you mean WIRED PCI cards above?

Yes, but the speed and reliability of the network will suffer. Why spend the time, money, and aggravation to change?
